Ordered mine today, was told its in National, whatever that means. Means that hes not sure when he will get it. But Brad just gave me a better idea when I might see it. At least he found it in the system and was able to order it up.

Plenum Cover Hardware
I ordered the Plenum Cover
7R3Z-6A949-AA only and was unaware of that hardware also had to be ordered.
Can you tell me the part number for the hardware? and cost?
Are installation instructions included?

Instructions are not included. It's easy. The only thing I'm not sure about it that it comes with a rubber washer(?) that has a metal insert where the screws go. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be there or not because the screws don't go thru it. The hole is too small. I can install it without the metal washers but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. Anyone install this yet??

There wasn't a metal insert on mine, only the washer....Installed with no problems.

You can remove the metal inserts but when you install the cover, it doesn't seem to fit properly. It's like using a screw that is too small for a hole. After screwing it into place, the part seems to move around a bit.
I did discover however that if you take take a vice grips and the bolts that are already there, you can try to make the grooves into the metal inserts and the they screw on fine after that. I couldn't do it very easily becasue I didn't have those vice grips handy but I used a pliers instead, just too hard to screw it all the way through. The first grooves I made seem to be ok.
The rubber inserts also don't seem to fit right UNLESS you use the metal inserts, they don't hold form and they smash when screwed tight. Now I know this will happen but it just seems like those metal inserts are there for a reason.
It's almost like they forgot to make the grooves for the bolts to go in. Why would Ford have useless metal inserts made just for shipping this part. They could have put those rubber housings in a little bag or something.

I drilled out the the washer sleeve and cut off the end of the new boltss and buffed them out. I think you are supposed to use the washers. The 07 throttle body bolts might even be smaller and that's why the 05 bolts don't fit through the washers. Anyway with a little massaging it works and for $56 shipped it's a great mod.!

I drilled out the metal washer/sleeve so the new bolts would go through it. There are threads on the end of the bolts that stick out from the throttle body that I cut off and polished.
