Killed one Panther and Got Another! My P71 Crown Vic Police Interceptor

My daily Driver a 2006 Gran Marquis Ls was totalled mid december. I walked away without a scratch which is one reason I love these rear wheel drive dinosaurs and I have been looking for a replacement.

Recently I stumbled on these two Low Milage P71 Police Interceptors. The Black 06 Has 52k and The Gray 07 has 62k. Both are super clean and were Brass Cars so very few extra Holes Drilled for Cages etc and hence the low miles. The Black Car has Blackout Tinted Rear Glass and this car is identical to the Undercover Units used locally. Also Pictured is wifes Supercharged. 02 HD-F150

The cars were 3-4 hours away from my house & the gentlemen was willing to meet me half way at a friends diesel shop. I just needed to make up my mind if I wanted to be low key or in your face as the Black Car Screams Undercover Unit while the Silver Just hints at it.

Well as fate would intervene the silver one was sold on Monday when I wanted to buy a car but could not get in the Bank cause of MLK day. So I guess it's in your face for me.

What a blast driving home. Everybody stays out of your way and tailgating is a rare deal! Love It! If you ever get the chance to drive a Fresh Looking P71 out on the highway do it. {That is one that looks like it's still in service.} It's nice having the extra road all to yourself!

The Beauty is If I get tired of the PI Look I can Always Change the Wheels Pull The Spots and Go for The Look as the Merc Maruder Pictured has.

Enjoy,

KC

My dad is the same way...he loves these cars...for his next birthday if I can swing it I'm going to try to by him one...it'll have to be white though because that's the only color vehicle he will drive for some reason?

Panthers are great, I bought at 01 Crown Vic from my cousin but ended up selling it to get a Marauder, it's a fun car but I wish it looked as nice as the one in your picture.

Ugh I want something as a daily driver and having one of these would probably be pretty fun for a while. I wonder how much it would cost me... *goes to Autotrader*

Ebay Usually has them Listed also the KBB Kelly BlueBook Site has a shop feature for finding Used cars.

As an FYI The later Cars can Use The 05 Up Mustang Wheels up to I believe 8" Wide. The Earlier Cars with the different Offset should be able to Use The 04 Prior Mustang Wheels. I am not sure at the moment of the Break on the CV's But My 06 Can Use the 05 Up Stang Wheels. I had the 17 Inch Bullit Wheels on my Marquis and they fit like a glove. Lots of Take offs floating around.

Pictured are My 17" I had on the Marquis and Andrews 18"s He had on the Charger. Either would be nice on a Panther. I like them keyed to car color on a Panther!

I think they changed the suspensions and wheels starting with the 2003 model year.

^ correct

'93-'02 CV = '94-'04 Mustang Wheels
'03-'11 CV = '05-'14 Mustang Wheels

I decided to have a little fun with a buddy of mine today and waited for him to get off work. I parked about 50 feet from his truck and waited for him to get in it. As soon as I saw him getting close I backed quickly behind him. The look of Shock thinking he was getting popped and then realizing who it was and then trying to figure out what I was doing driving this {Undercover unit} was absolutely priceless~!

We chewed the fat for about half an hour catching up and talking about the car and he admitted that he liked the Unit. It's fun!

And no I wouldn't pull that and somebody I did not know!

I hate it that your 06 got totaled, but WOW that black interceptor is a sweet find!! The 17" Bullitt's would look sharp - guess I'm a bit weird but I even like the steelies with the dog dish center caps. Definitely a beautiful (and menacing) car!!

My first car was a 93 Vic with 150,000 miles on it. Loved that car to death, but as a high-schooler making $7.25 an hour and a lifeguard, and gas being over 4 bucks a gallon (2008ish) I was not pleased with the 7 mpg i was getting around town, or its bottemless gastank.

Still Loving it!

Upgraded to NOS Oem 8 Track Am/FM and Filled the Police Console Void with a Lincoln Town Car Padded Seat/Armrest/Console. I love Dinosaur Technology!
