The center of the door panel just begs for some chrome, I taped this cobra emblem up to give you all a little inspiration!

The handles are a factory ford part. Retail is $25.00 ea. If I remember correctly! This is kind of a bear to do the Door panel must be removed. But I am happy with the results! Next I will be doing the IUP Steering Wheel. I will most defintely consult the shop manual first so I don't get a face full of AIRBAG!

Just be sure to hold the camara to the side of your head so you don't get a black eye from the impact....

I heard a story at work today about a Tech who did not follow airbag protocal on a new Lincoln Aviator. Sitting in the car he set off all 4 side curtain airbags, seat airbags, pass & driver airbags Thats an expensive experiment! I think I will get the dealer to install my new IUP Wheel. Oh by the way the mounting bolts are supposed to be replaced every time the wheel comes off! Shear Bolts I guess!

Here is a little Door Panel dress up I did on my Gt. I got a couple of 98-04 fender emblems rt & lt and put them on my door panels. Once you get the emblems you will have to trim off the locating tabs unless you want to drill holes! {NO THANKS}.
I used side cutters and a xacto blade. Make sure you cut below the adhesive so it does not high center! I used a little Denatured Alcohol on a Clean rag to get any oil residue off the panel. Please use sparingly to avoid damage. Or you could use some soap & water. DO NOT use something caustic like carb spray! Position LIGHTLY and stand back to see if it is level. Reposition and if its good, Press Hard and you are done! Oh by the way I positioned mine so the Horses are running forward! Hope this Helps anybody looking for a little dressier door panel. This may not work as well on the IUP panels with the upholstory on the door. If you try it on those the alcohol may be a bad idea.

Great mod!!! Looks perfect and makes one wonder why Ford doesn't do it in the first place. This one just got put on my growing list of things to do and order before mine arrives.
