Seriously If You Need a New GT Emblem This is on Sale and Looks Really Good. The 07-09 Integrated Gt Emblems are Usually Scratched Up Cause The Are Front Painted over Chrome and Do Not Hold Up as Well As The Earlier 05-06 Style Like This One. Be Just as At Home on a GT/CS if You Can Live Without The Added text! Sale on This One Ends The 13Th! Nos Gt Badges are in the $300.00 Range and Have Not Much, But The Bag on this One For Looks!

First Off Make Sure Stored Out of Direct Sunlight indoors! Don't Stick in a Hot Toolbox in your Garage For Storage!
There is a Ticking Time Bomb I Have Discovered!
The Clear Plastic Scratch Protector Cover Over The Center Puck Area Can Over Time Actually Damage The Chrome Where The Adhesive Attaches The Clear Scratch Protector. On The Painted Style Like The 07-09 Factory Integrated Puck Style Which is Paint over Chrome It Can Actually Eat The Paint So Bad That When You Pull over The Protector it Will Pull The Paint Off.
Ideally Your Badges Until Install Need To Have The Scratch Protector Removed By Warming Up in Sunlight or Warmer Tap Water and After Removing Protector Taking Some Dish Soap or Gently Using Some Denatured Alcohol with a Terri Cloth and Removing Any Residue. If Paint Comes Off Then it is Simply Too Late. The Worst Thing You Can Do is To Remove Protector To Inspect and Stick Back On. At The Very Least if You Wait Until Install To Remove Clean in Same Manner Before Installing.
I Know This After Working With Numerous Nos Badges over the Last Couple of Years. So Be Advised The NOS Ebay Listings That are Unopened & Still Have Protector on are Suspect. The Bullitt & Gt-500 Styles are Not an Issue as They Do Not Use Scratch Protectors.
I Know Some Obsolete Purchasers and Suppliers Swear By Unopened Packages But it is Unlikely They Are Aware of This Particular Issue. Due To High Cost of These I had Opened Mine Anyway as Usually The Bag was So Cloudly you Could Not Tell True Condition of Badge.
Well Just an FYI,
See Example. Those Bubbles are What Can Be an Issue Where Adhesive Has Partially Let Go. May Be Right as Rain or May Get Paint Pull. After Removing & Cleaning Adhesive on This Style Some Ceramic Paint Coat or Spray Wax Might Be a Good Idea.
I Won't Be Leaving The Protector on Any of My NOS Ones I Sell For This Reason. I Want To Know What I'm Selling and Not Disappoint Buyer!
See Bottom Pic For What Surface Paint Has To Stick To on Later Integrated Puck Style. It's Why They Scratch Fairly Easy Unless Care is Exercised When Cleaning.

Thank You My Friend. The Badges Evolve as I Still Keep Learning Better Ways To Build. I Strive to Offer, Make & Design a Replacement For a Discontinued Item Which Can Be a Real Eyesore as They Age.
I Try To Come From a Point of Style But Always Have To Factor in Some Longevity & Not Make The Same Mistake Ford Did Which Caused The Pony Badges To Degrade So Badly. It's Become a Challenge & Quest! I Have So Much Invested into the Project at This Point I Need To Keep Going For a Time But One Day Will Likely Phase Out!
People Don't Leave as Much Feedback as They Did Back in The Day But When I Do Get it. They Seem To Really Like The Product as Delivered!
