One Of The Nicest Used Base Model V6 Running Ponies Badges I Have Had. Looks Darn Near NOS Quality! It Was Hiding Under a Layer of Gunk & After Cleaning I Was Stunned How Nice it is!
Sooner of Later These Finds Will Dry Up If You Want Original!

Nos Oem Takeoff Vs a Hand Restored Restomod I Did!
In Bright Light You Would See The Difference on The Tribar Chrome But I'm Pretty Pleased With The Results!
My Current Line Up of OEM Mustang Pony Badges it at an All Time High For Variety! Grab Your Choice Now Cause I Highly Doubt This Selection Will Last Long!
Getting All The Gaps To Line Up On Mounting Base and Insert Just So Can Be a Real Bear as The 2 Part Epoxy I Use is Brutally Strong. The Tribar itself Has To Be Centered and Correctly Installed Vertically. I Have Had A Few I Had To Completely Redo But I'm My Own Harshest Critic For Final Appearance. For The Most Part I Try For as Oem Look As I Can get Though Some Designs Stray More Towards Aftermarket Custom.
New Across The Board Discounts With Deeper Savings on Mid Range Badges! I Had an Unexpected Emergency Purchase I Needed To Make & Need To Move Some Inventory Quickly! Also Hint Hint Sometimes If You Watch Item I Will Offer an Additional Discount!
Currently I Have The Best Buy on A NOS Bullitt Badge. Usually These Hold Up Well But When The Black Backgound Gets Too Much Sun or Chemicals They Just Look Blah!
I Sold a Badge Today To a Customer Named DORA! That Happens to Be The Name of My Kitty Best Girl! I Will Take That as a Good Omen!
My Badge Sales Have Become All The More Critical as We Keep Rescuing Cats & Kittens! I Got Cores & Supplies Coming Out My Ears To Build Badges But Time & Health Issues Bog Me Down At Every Corner! Just Got to Keep Plugging Along!
I Actually am Trying To Start Testing with Some Clear Epoxy Sealed Custom Models Which in Theory Will Be Like The Oem Pucks But With Different Ponys!
Currently in Process a Pretty Nice Survivor Pony. Other That Mild Patina and Some Tri-bar Chrome Degradation Badge is Pretty Clean With Nice Black Backgound and Tri-Color Bright & Vivid. Also FORD Lettering Nice & Sharp! Take Ten+ Years Off The Average Condition Pony Most Cars With Original Badge Such As One in Previous Post! Less Heat Damage of Course!

I Thought I Had Seen The Worst a Badge Can Get Untill I Started Talking To a Customer in Poland Where I Guess The Elements are Brutal on The Badges! He Recently Bought The Car and it Was Plastidipped and I See Why. I Think it Has an Overlay sticker as Well on it!
Chatting While Using a Translator Makes Explaining alll the More Difficult But Sooner or Later He Should be Making a Choice!
Using All My Experience Building These I Think The Best Coice For Him is a Silver Restomod Which I Seal The Puck Much Better Than Factory and The Silver is More Durable Than The Chrome!
Well My New Polish Friend Has Decided To Go Chrome So I Made The Most Weather Proof Chrome Restomod I Could!
Not Bad For a Half Blind Dottering old Dude!
Realize That Center Puck Was Completely Fubar. Only The Pony Chrome is Original. Everything Else Is Hand Stripped & Refinished. Red,White & Blue, Silver Metallic Replaces Chrome on Tri-Bar and Rear is Sealed With Epoxy Coat and Additional Protection To Backside Using The Same Military Spec 3m Adhesive As Used To Attach To Car. This Circumvents The Glob of Silicone Glue Ford Used Directly on Paint and Left it Vulnerable To Debris Building Up. Also The Chrome Outer Surround has a Locating Hole For The Puck Which Allows Garbage To Get in Behind Surround. I Seal This With Epoxy To Eliminate The Issue.
Gets To Be Time Intensive on Center Puck and Many Have Stress Cracks Which Makes Them Unrestorable! The Fun Thing is Getting Almost Done and Then You Find a Stress Crack Which Was Invisable Untill Final Polish! Ends Up Being Wasted Time & Materials.
When I Started This Endevor To Supply The Base Pony Faux Gas Caps One of My Go -To's For The Insert Was The 66 Mustang Ford Licensed Hubcap Center Insert. At The Time The Cost Was Not Bad and I Had a Supplier I Got Some Sets From and Then That dried Up. Seems They Stopped Reproducing Them For Awhile and When They Came Back They Were Twice The Price So I Moved away From Them and More Cost Effective and Less Work To Adapt Options.
The 66 Inserts Required Quite a Bit of Trimming of Locating Tabs and Overall Size To Fit. Anyhoo I Had a Couple of Leftovers & Here is One I Am Working on With a Chrome Base. I Used a Very Nice Outer Surround for an Upscale Badge. The Neat Thing is The Insert is Very Close To The 66 Gas Cap as Well.
Pictures Speak Volumes So Here You Go. A Pic of The 66 Gas Cap and The 66 Restomod I'm Working on Compared to a Very Nice Original! To Be Listed Soon. Doubtful I Will Be Be Doing anymore of These on a Regular Basis Due To Cost Involved and Amount of Labor Required To get it To Look & Fit Correctly!
If Interested I Will Post a Link When Listed on Ebay!

Very Nice Original VS My 66 Restomod With Chrome Surround
Example of Why You Need A Good Adhesive Pad Like I Use VS Slapping on Strips! It is Also Obvious To Me They Did Not Even Bother To Completely Clean Off Original Adhesive Residue Before Slapping On Strip Tape! SLOPPY SLOPPY Work!
See Dirt Build up on Bottom! Must Have Ben Fun Trying To Keep Bumper Clean after Wash!
