Twin overhead camshafts per bank with four valves per cylinder to produce a deep-breathing, high-performance engine for exciting and consistent power and torque delivery right up to the red line.

The heads are cast in aluminium alloy to minimise weight and to reach the optimum operating temperature faster. They feature an improved Cobra R design with a straighter, better-breathing inlet port.

The camshafts are hollow for reduced weight, less inertia - and faster response.

Sealed, high-quality timing chains are lubricated by the engine's oil supply for long life. This means a major reduction in maintenance costs compared to timing belt replacement and eliminates the potential of engine damage through a missed belt change.

For critical engine joins, special high-tensile bolts are stretched under torque for maximum strength and extra resistance to loosening.

Boss 290 transmissions. If the Boss delivers power, our new custom-built gearboxes unleash it.

The T56 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission. This is a seriously slick gearbox that makes the absolute most of Boss 290 power. The ratios are spaced for maximum performance, minimum fuss. A FPV shift alert tells you when to change for optimum upshifts.

Auto fans can option up to a new ZF 6-speed high-torque automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift. This high-performance automatic gearbox offers the best of both worlds. Its Sequential Sports Shift system allows the driver to make fast, clean manual gear changes to maximize all the available power for acceleration or quick downshifts. When in full auto mode, the adaptive shift system changes characteristics to suit your individual driving style.

Both transmissions are matched to a 2-piece tailshaft with shock-absorbing flex couplings, connected to a heavy-duty multi-plate limited-slip differential. Transmitting maximum power to the ground.

You got to love FPV of Australia ! They make some of the wickest cars on the planet, that are available at your local Ford dealer. If only Billy Blue Oval would get somethings into gear, and get us the Falcon (or some derivative) on these shores.

The GT is also in the GTO type market, or as they call it the Holden Monaro.

Currency Convertor

Here is a currency convertor that works well.

A GT-P with all the bells and whistles is $79K AUD which translates to approx $59K USD.
