2010 guage cluster in 05 - 09?

I quite like the new guage faces and needles for the 2010. Kevin, do you know anything yet as to whether the 2010 guages would work in the previous cars? Hell, I'd just buy the needles.
The white guage definitely caught my eye.

Cheers

I think so, I just noticed what looks like some computer buttons on the light panel to the left of the steering wheel

Those buttons have been talked about in one of the other threads. My guess is ambient lighting?

Educate us less informed... Whats the big deal of having the tach on the right instead of the left?

Okay. Go Sit in your Mustang. Put one hand on the shifter. Now put the other hand, where it would be for Maximum control, on your Steering wheel, as if you were Standing on it, Pedal to the Metal, on the strip.
Now........Look where your arm is!! Bet you can't see your Tach.

Case closed!

Hmmm... I can see my tach. Sounds like you may need to adjust your seat and/or your steering wheel!

I can understand that. The upper left part of my tach can be cut off, and I do have to duck my head a bit to see it while flying up the on-ramp at 80mph.

On a 1/4 mile, where it count's, you really DON"T want to have to do that.

Those buttons to the left of the steering wheel, below the headlight switch, are the info/reset/setup buttons.

I will need a Car on the Lot and the 2010 Shop Manual Before I would Guess on that One.

this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard! did you think this up with your friends while "hangin" at starbucks? with your ford racing jackets on?

79-04 had the tach on the left, never had a problem, NEVER heard one complaint about it.

i could see it being block if you have your hand on top of the wheel, with a sweet gangster lean to the right.

"maximum control"?? are you kidding? arm braced on the door panel, hand at 9 oclock, is best method to keep the car straight......unless your trying to "break the wheels loose on every shift" by jerking the wheel to the right or left on every shift. so your "boys" think your car is super bad, like fast n furious!

You brought up a 3 month old thread to make this post?

Regardless of how you drive, many people who drive stick, including myself who has driven stick for years will have their left hand near the top of the steering wheel while their right hand is on the gear shifter. When driving like this, your left arm does in fact block the tach. Also note that Shelby, etc has placed the tach on the right even on the 09 cars to avoid this very problem. Your post is unnecessarily insulting to a well respected member of this forum.

Also, I'm guessing you don't know how old Dave is, otherwise you probably wouldn't have posted that crap.

I could have sworn my 94 had the tach on the right... Regardless, unless you are at the track, you never need to look at the tach. Sound alone should be what you rely on.
