Well it uses the same platform, but supposedly it's been given a rigorous update to stay competetive. Not as good as an all-new aluminium platform, but I won't decry it as "underwhelming" until we see how it actually performs.

Besides, it looks really good.

No argument on the aesthetic front. Hopefully they've been able to tweak the chassis sufficiently to make it competitive in this highly crowded segment.

^^^ Then please make it "Ford's generic sedan" styling direction. Throw it on a high-volume RWD chassis, give it a "BOSS"-y V8 and say goodbye to GM/DCX!
