what job is this?

So I was vacationing in Durango Colorado and there was a group of people basically test driving bunch of cars from Michigan. There were 4 of the new Focus Rs wich I thought weren't on sale yet, 2 new explorers, and 2 new Lincoln mkx's. They all had wind speed measures. What job do you think these people had?

Road and noise checking on highways? They do a lot of that on public roads, since their own test tracks don't represent all the road issues that are on public roads. If you notice how your ride sounds when you get on new pavement versus older pavement you will see a definite change in interior sounds. This is mostlikely what they are doing. JMO

Fwiw I highly doubt anyone employs someone soley tondrive around in new vehicles non stop. Most likely that is 10% of their job, the rest being regular boring work.
