For all 5 or so of those people on internet forums who cry because Ford discontinued the Focus hatchback for 2008 -- this is probably why the Focus hatchback is going away.

Why would they need a Focus hatchback and a Fiesta hatchback? It makes more sense to have a Focus coupe with a trunk and a Fiesta hatch....

 

meehh.....I dont like the shape. I was hoping for something mini-cooper like.

nothing beats the classic lines of the old Ford Fiesta....or is this a festiva.....

 

I work in downtown Detroit and just yesterday was behind a Ford Fiesta with manufacturer plates on it. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me so couldn't get a picture of it. It wasn't camoflouged, and I thought it had 4 doors, but I was behind and couldn't get around it to get a better look.

Well one of those will replace my aging Aspire about that time, I drive my '97 Aspire daily to the tune of 106,000 miles on it with no reliability probs to date. I will need a Fiesta hatch and I hope it will meet or exceed my 40 mpg I get right now.

 

That camo looks pretty fiesta like.
