It was mixed into some on-coming traffic at an intersection. I could see the frontend and I knew it was a AM, looked just like a DB9. Then as it rolled by I caught that it was a vert. Car was black w/ black top and extremely dark tint (well past the legal limit). I couldnt get an glimpse's of the model or anything, but could it have been a DB9 Volante? I wasn't aware they were available here or anything. Gorgeous car, first one i've seen in person on the road, last time I saw a AM was at a auto show and its been at least 2 years ago.

I have only seen two DB9's on the road ... one time it was very dark out, and all I heard was the sound of the engine and the beautiful rear lights! It was black I believe, I couldnt tell because the night was very dark (no moon light).
The second time, I saw a DB9 on top of a flat bed... looked like it was being delivered to some lucky dealer.
I also saw the DB9 at an auto show a couple of years ago, and that's it!

I guess it is good that I dont see any AM's on the road, it just makes it more magical when I see them

 

yup an Aston sighting is magical..I could be in the worst mood in the world and see one and it just turns me around. No car has me in such a grip like they do.

 

How did you know there was a model driving it, if you couldn' t see in??

 

I've never had the chance to see an aston driving on the street. makes me want one just that much more.

 

They are very common here just depends on where you are driving.

This is in socal. 5 years ago I only saw one, nowadays not frequent but you will see it.

Well, today I'm going to Beverly Hills and such with the girlfriend... I might see an Aston I usually see Ferraris and Lambos and such, but never seen an AM there.

 

You know I forgot to tell you that I travel everyday to go from one client to another. I am in the office maybe an hour or two maybe thats why I see more of them. Sorry I take this for granted as I have been doing it for a while. MY bad!! I can see why some people don't see very many of them. I saw a new lambo 3 weeks ago its nice. I take notice of nice cars especially mustangs.

 

I've seen a few here, but then we get a lot of expensive cars around here. I remember last year, fight after I moved down here, I was gassing up at a Rebel station, and a Rolls Rpyce Phantom pulled in on the other side of the pump. First one I had seen. Bentley Conti GT's are a dime a dozen. I see Lambo's and Ferrari's on a regular basis too. I've even seen a couple of pre-production camoflaged cars around. Saw a pair of AM's painted flat black with no markings at an intersection once, and another time I saw what now turns out to have been a pair of pre-production LR2's, with the black canvas covers and all. I saw a red DB9 today in Hollywood! A few cars back was a Ferrari, and a few cars behind that one was an 80's Lambo... it was awesome!

The red doesnt look good on the AM imo.

 

I saw a Vantage there a month ago. Loud ****. I was surprised. See craploads of Porsches there, too.

 

I was in cali for the past 2 weeks and saw probally 10 DB9s and 1 Vanquish (at least I think so). I've seen a couple around here too, not as common though. Very nice looking car.

a rare sighting in OC for me was on the 605 S and 110 interchange/merger, otherwise quite a flock down in newport beach.....

 

I've seen a couple of exotics at old town Pasadena in my time... I'll try to make up excuses to go more often lol.

 

Saw a yellow Gallardo Spyder on my way home last night, too bad I didn't have my camera with me.
