A (sort of) new Ford in my family! (Pics added!)
I finally had enough of my fiancee's POS Hyundai Tiburon so I told her I'd buy her a better car. We decided to buy used to save a little money. She picked out a 2002 Lincoln LS V8. It's in wonderful condition and the price was very reasonable. We bought it at a Carmax in Houston and I drove it part of the way home (we live about 100 miles away). It's really a shame that Ford stopped producing these cars. With a little more power under the hood, they'd have been tremendous performers. I'll try to post pics in a couple of days.

I rented one of those a few years ago to take a short trip. What a great road car. I loved that car. The only problem was getting on the interstate and setting the cruise I almost got too comfortable. Great choice, enjoy that sweet car !

Congrats on a great purchase, and a great price. The LS is one of the nicest Lincolns I have been in. The 2002 models had 258 hp, if I recall, but in 2003, Ford up'ed the horsepower on the V8 up to 280. You could definitely feel the difference. What color did you get by the way?

I actually looked at some of those when I was last car-shopping. Just couldn't find any with less than 75K miles! But I like those a lot. How's the interior quality? That's the biggest complaint I've heard about them.

I'm not sure. I really haven't looked at it. It developed a misfire and is running like crap. I was going to try to fix it and then sell it but we've found someone who might take it as is. We'll let it go for what she owes on it which is half what it's actually worth (if it were running OK). If it's a simple fix, they'll get a good deal.
