Thanks and Godspeed to the fine folks at Atlanta Assembly - the builders of one of Ford's finest. You and the car which you crafted together will be missed!

Yeah, I remember that the Audi 5000 with the aerolook came out at the same time and the Taurus made the Audi look like a brick! It was without a doubt a car that was (arguably) as pivotal as the Model T.
Of course, you never saw a full shot of Robo getting in and out of it! He would never fit!

My 96 SHO, V8 taurus. It was the first "digital" picture that I ever took.
Yeah i'm sad to see an end to the taurus name.

I used to have white '91 Taurus 3.0L. Darn thing was junk, but I loved it anyway. Sold it later to junkyard for $50.

We have a 99 and its been the best car from a service standpoint we have had - not the first warranty issue ever came up. Of course, with 80K on it the tranny is starting to make some strange sounds.

I had a '95 Taurus SHO. It was a nice car. It was pretty unique with the Yamaha V6. I hated to part with it but since they made so few SHOs (in relation to regular Taurus numbers), SHO specific parts had to be special ordered. Even the Ford dealerships didn't carry them.

I still don't see why Ford didn't keep trying with the Taurus, I have 3 Taurii (86 wagon, 90 sedan, 97 sedan) and all 3 are very reliable cars
