Well, today, me and the aunt closed a deal on our new Ford vehicle. It's a 2007 Ford F150 XLT. 5.4l V8, 6 CD, Trailer Tow Package, 3.73, 17 inch wheels, and fog lamps
Came up to $31,985 before rebates and taxes and all that.
Great truck, that 5.4 is anything but a boat anchor. But, can anyone reccomend ome stuff to make it feel MORE like a V8?
Pics tomorrow

F-150 makes only 300 hp.
Ram 1500 makes 345 hp, Silverado & Sierra 1500 makes 367 hp, Titan 1500 makes 317 hp, Tundra 1500 makes 381 hp.
So Ford needs more powerful engine ASAP if they want to compete.

But if you compared to another truck that had 300hp say an older silverado the f150 wouldn't be slower.

Little off topic, Ford trucks are losing horsepower wars. Sure, SuperDuty is the best 2500 & 3500 truck on the market, but F-150 needs more powerful engine. Everyone is passing them, even Nissan and their truck is a joke.
My '98 F150 with the 4.6 only makes 220 hp, and I don't think it's underpowered. It's not musclecar fast, but that's not what I bought it for. It feels pretty average in acceleration. But it is comfortable and has hauled everything I've needed it to haul (engines, furniture, trash , parts, etc).
I had to haul about 1000lbs of extra car parts, tools, etc. I had stored in my garage when I moved up to Oregon from the Bay Area and with my family of four on board, it had no problems making the trip. No problems on grades, no problems keeping up with traffic at all.
So if 220 hp is adequate in the previous gen F150, 300 hp in the current generation should be fine, considering that it is heavier.

Hence the BOSS motors going to the trucks before the cars.
