To get it ready for U.S. consumption, the Blue Oval brand has grafted a trunk onto the ex-hatch's hind end, as we Americans inexplicably nearly always choose a sedan over a more functional hatchback. At least Ford has managed to keep the Fiesta's Kinetic design language intact, and the freshly unveiled Fiesta sedan bears a striking resemblance to the Verve sedan concept from the last Detroit Auto Show. For the record, the sedan body style will not be available in Europe, though we expect Ford to also offer the two- and four-door hatchback version in the U.S. Ford officially took the wraps off the Fiesta sedan at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China where the new car will soon go on sale. When the Fiesta makes its long-awaited American debut as a 2010 model, it will be built in Mexico and reportedly cost around $15,000. The team from Autoblog China (did you know there's now also an Autoblog UK, Autoblog Germany and Autoblog France, all with teams of local bloggers producing them?) on the floor in Guangzhou managed to snap some live shots of the Fiesta sedan for your viewing enjoyment, so check out the galleries below. Enjoy! |
It looks good, though those wheels are small and fugly. Looks like a 300 pound fat guy on a pair of child's skates.

It looks like a mini Mondeo, but its just too ugly. I like hatchback, but I would never consider buying Fiesta sedan.

:agree::puke:

the coupe is pretty sweet, they need stuff like that to be here
|
:agree: 100% I'd buy one like the Blue one in a heartbeat!

that does look pretty sweet.....if they dont fix the bland rear end treatment of the sedan I may end up with the hatch
|
That blue hatch FTW!
|
The sedan does look like a bit of a forced style job forced by the necessity of narrow/simple-minded Americans reflexively if unthinkingly dismissing any hatchback regardless of its true merits. The rear wheels especially look overwhelmed by the visual mass of the rear or the car.
On the other hand, the hatches, especially the 3-door, look great and are yet another testament that econobox need not equal penalty box, another narrow/simple-minded ideation that too many Americans erroneously hold. Those pics of the blue 3-door look fantastic, I'd love to see that thing with a 200hp turbo in it and some DCT type tranny. |
not bad looking at all
but compared to those other fiestas, a little bit lacking.. |
I'm sorry but that Blue... Hatch.... Keeps.... Drawing... Me.. Back... To... It!
 While I have always been a fan of Volkswagen GTI's this New Fiesta really makes them look Almost Boring and Mundane, and What I've Seen of the Next Gen Golf/Rabbit It's even more boring. I do still like the Bigger Wheels on the GTI's, but I'd Rather Drive a Ford, Even if it is an Imported Ford. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3177/...6e3d902b_o.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...aasvlakte1.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3123/...6aa5729e_o.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...aasvlakte2.jpg |
Fiesta is not competing with Golf, Focus is. Fiesta is competing with Polo.
|
I totally agree. I could drive that blue one no problem. I bet it looks sharp in white with the right rims.
|
hatch :nice:
|
new pics on the website

This is much nicer than Prius or Fit IMO. Front end rake as awesome and really flows. For an Ecobox, the interior is ergonomic with a minimalist touch. The hatch version 3 and 5 are lightyears better than the sedan. It too fills a niche though.
I would definitely consider one as a second vehicle if my 6'6" frame fits in it! |
I never get tired of the hatch's looks
|
Blue 2 door FTW!
|
But I don't want chrome accents on my Euro styled small car.:banghead::fuss::puke::rant::crying:
