Need 2004 Lincoln Aviator info

Hey guys,

thought someone might be able to help me out.

Does anyone have the following official info for the 2004 Lincoln Aviator 2W:

- max speed
- torque @ max speed

I have all the rest, but even FMC seem not to have the data at hand. Also browsed the web, but just get the standard data sheets.

Thanks for your help.

No one? Common... Someone must drive a 2004 Aviator and have some info on the SUV.

If I buy a car, I want to know all about it.

Top speed is one of the most important figures in Europe...

Sorry I can't help you out, but now you've mad me curious.

1. Why is top speed so important in Europe?

2. You can get an Aviator out there?

Hi. I am currently importing one for myself. A 2004 model and the local heroes need the top speed/torque data.

I contacted Ford and they gave me the normal data stuff, which is basically also available on the web.

Its just so funny that the OEM does not even know the top speed of their own vehicles.

But it will help to get the car registered with original Ford documents.

They have their rules & regs here and if something is missing or unlcear, I will have to pay a lot of money for extra tests I will need to run at a technical test facility.

This is what I want to avoid.

Many thanks for your help.

One question which is still unclear:

Ford mentions on their data sheet:

- less than 76 dBA at cruising speed

How is cruising speed defined? Is this a certain mph range?

Thanks.

crusing speed is most likly 55-65mph.

And Ford doesn't need to know the top speed of that vehicle, the top speed limit in the US is like 75mph and the car can do that.

I think the correct way to solve this is to take the Aviator for a spin on the autobahn and tell us what the top speed is

Well if all other avenues crap out, there is this...

All of Ford's newer vehicle's are electronically speed limited at below the tire speed rating of the tires they come from Ford with...

In the F250/F350 pickup trucks that is 95 miles per hour, it is 80 MPH for the F450.

I'm sure if you look up the speed rating for the original tires the Aviator, it will be electronically speed limited below that.

Good Luck

If I had to guess I would say cruising speed is 60mph. Still can't find the other info though sorry..
