This caught my eye on Ebay. I have no intention of buying it, the $180k price tag puts me off a little.

But, here you have the most potent rally car ever built. It was banned pretty soon after it was produced when the FIA got rid group B rally cars in the early 90's, but the thing was the quickest rally car built,

650bhp from a 2.1L engine?? beats the heck out of a modern day Lancer Evo 7

that is an awesome car. One of my favorites in Gran Turismo 4.

 

Oh yea... that is one heck of a car. The most powerful evolution model went from 0-60 in just over 2 seconds

My favorite non-Mustang Ford is probably the
GT/GT40 or the


Capri RS 3100

 

I always liked F-Series, my favorite generation is 1992-1996.

 

No question for me...FORD GT!!! If you can get a chance to drive one, you'll understand. Its that good!! Any color works for me, but the two below are my favorite!

For me, has to be the Cobra......427 or 289 will do nicely. Technically they aren't Fords,
but they are such a huge part of Ford history and are definately claimed as a 'part of the family' in my experience. These were the ultimate expression of the American hot rod
concept, and were stunning to look at.

This car... in THIS color. Always loved the Pantera!

 

Gotta do a +1 for the 427 Cobra.



Only problem with that car is that after like 10 hours of race stress the engine goes the way of Briney's Career: Down the tubes hard and fast.

 

I was thinking of the Pantera because of the Ford engine, and it would have been my favorite Ford ever. But, I didn't think it would qualify

although i`m strickly a muscle car guy i`d love to have this with a modern drivetrain for a daily driver

 

Don't laugh. My old taurus SHO. It was loaded with a ton of options only found on more expensive cars. It had a unique V8 motor. It was a sleeper car to many. At that time, with my CAI, it felt like a rocket ship.
