Considering they chose to enter a new vehicle into a fast growing segment in the luxury market, I think it'll be a hit. If they keep pricing competitive and not too far above the Escape, I think it'll be a hit.

^^^ That and being able to keep the recall and electronic gremlins at bay (U/I).

Actually pretty nice. Hopefully the production version doesn't get its nice stylistic detailing watered down as is so often the case. Lincoln might actually have a winner here if they don't get greedy on the pricing.

Good! They needed to get that vehicle in the lineup quick, unlike the MKZ.

IMO, the MKZ is probably the most important Lincoln vehicle out there.

Maybe its not the best Lincoln's seller (that would be the MKX), but it was the first of new Lincolns that's supposed to change company's image (like the CTS has done for the Cadillac).

Personally, I don't care for the Escape-like rear bumper. I would have preferred the integrated exhaust cutouts like the concept. The clamshell rear is nice, as is the front end.

I still don't think it's gonna be enough to keep up with other manufacturers. Nothing in Lincoln, even the new stuff, gets me to believe that they're competitive.

I guess the future numbers will show it.

It gives them another segment to compete in. There's no reason this shouldn't sell. Currently, compact luxury crossovers are a hot item, so it's easy to understand why they went this route. Selling 30,000-40,000 of these a year would certainly boost Ford's profits nicely.

Really happy the rear gate design from the concept carried over. Looks good on its own and bodes well for the future if Ford is working hard to retain engineering-heavy elements like that for production Lincolns.

While I agree that it will be another segment to compete in. I don't think its going to be competitive enough to sell well. I feel like Lincoln is just throwing mediocre products out there because they can. With the goal being to have them sell just okay. I just have a hard time getting excited over a company that continues to be behind the curve in the luxury market and it seems they're very content doing that.

Where's the passion? the performance? luxury? I just don't see it in these cars. The inside of these continue to look like their Ford copies. If Lincoln wants to be up there with Cadillac, which is trying to compete with BMW Audi and Mercedes, then they're gonna have to step up their game.

Until then, they're in the category of Acura in my eyes. Below average to average at best.

Well . . . people seem to be purchasing the MKZ. I believe it has outsold the ATS and CTS the last 5 or 6 months. And production of the Hybrid MKZ had to be increases to 40% because of strong sales. And while not the 'end-all' of success, it is a strong indication that someone is buying the darn car.

I think the MKC will do just fine if not great in terms of sales.
