Lincoln LS question

I need to replace the drivers side power mirror motor. Does any know how to get the motor out? Can the glass be removed in order to get inside or does the door have to be disassembled to remove the mirror housing?

I'd imagine someone on the Lincoln LS Owner's Club web site could find it in the shop manual for you.

Mirror Motor

1. Remove the exterior rear view mirror glass.
-Push in the upper edge of the mirror glass to the maximum travel. See 1st picture.
-Grasp the bottom of the mirror glass and pull outward.
-Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the mirror glass. See 2nd picture.
-Note: When installing the mirror glass, make sure it snaps into the mirror motor.

2. Remove the mirror motor screws. See 3rd picture.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the mirror motor. See 4th picture.

OK, I've replaced the motor and checked all the fuses and the mirror still doesn't work. The passenger mirror works so I don't think it's the control switch. Does anyone have any ideas on where to look for the problem?
