Just a suggestion for you. I had a Morgan and needed to reupholster it. Rather than use leather I found a product called Rave. It's a vinyl on an Italian cotton backing and looks and feels so much like leather that even a lot of people who know their stuff are fooled. It's very easy to work with, comes in a wide variety of colors, is not subject to the care problems of leather and is a LOT less expensive. We were so pleased with the results that when we needed to have a leather love seat and chair reupholstered recently we used Rave.

Your Falcon looks like a hoot. When I had my Morgan I removed the 1.6L Ford engine and gearbox and installed an engine and gearbox from a 2005 Honda S2000. The Morgan weighed 800 pounds less than an S2000. It looked like this sweet and innocent little English sports car and it was an animal. I remember one car show where I had the bonnet open and a couple of young guys came buy. One did a double take and said, "Holy S...!!! He's got an S2000 engine in there!"

sounds like a cool ride.
I'm looking forward to my first show when I lift the hood. Especially when they see 2 turbo's sitting in there as well. Lol |

I don't want to hijack this thread so I'll start another. I do have other photos and will post them in that thread.

We're adding some box tube rails for few reasons. One to allow us a point to mount the transmission, two to help strengthen the chassis and to give a mounting point for the 4 Link Coil over shock rear end

The conversion has been going really well. In fact it was beginning to be to easy. However we hit our fist hurdle today. We knew there would be some trying to fit an engine based on the American left hand drive system into our Australian right hand drive shells was never going to be straight forward.
The main issue is the started motor that is mounted on the same side of the vehicle as our steering arm. Room is very limited. pic below Attachment 187951 Our solution was to lower the engine and to move the engine further back and closer to the firewall Attachment 187952 Attachment 187953 Attachment 187953 |
That's fine. When you get a ghost cam tune for it, it'll be sure to rock the whole car even more, being so close to the firewall. Hope it doesn't make contact with the firewall though lol

The engine and transmission are now in it's final location. As you can see there is still a lot of modification and alterations that need to be made in the transmission and tail shaft tunnel. The 6R80 tranny is a lot bigger and sits higher than the original C4 auto.

Another asset to moving the engine further back is the better weight distribution. Hopefully the car will handle better with the weight more central.
Might only be a few inches but it all helps with the balance of the vehicle. |
Great build. Keep the pictures coming :)

Thanks for your positive comments.
Here is a test spray out of the colour we have chosen. The picture doesn't really do the colour justice but it looks sensational in the day light. Attachment 187933 |
