what a bunch of crap...

"it represents a modern american muscle sedan"

while you're busy representing one, cadillac is buiding them!

Wow, was really disheartened to hear those qualifiers being slung around by Mays. Not only did it sound like the Int has alot less production chance than we were hoping, but he didn't even say for sure if its styling would show up down the road. So what purpose does it have?

Maybe we'll luck out and feedback on the 'net and at the show will get the car built...

There is no hope for Ford.

Mays blows right through the Inteceptor like it's nothing so he can get onto crossovers and that hideous Airstream.

Sounds like the Interceptor is headed directly to the scrap heap along with the 427, Continental concept, GR-1, etc., etc.

There is plenty of hope for Ford. You're just not optimistic

I personally am getting sick of these cars. There is no reason to pull a tease with this.
They should just state right in the press release "we have no intention of building this..."
At least DCX gets cars built that look darn close to the concepts

"We get products like this next concept"... WTF?
Isn't that an oxymoron?

How can it be a product if you never will actually produce it?
jackholes

Like I said, Ford is in business to build concept cars...not actual cars.

After watching Mays' intro speech, surprised his nose didn't grow longer as he described the situation, people, and direction the company is headed if this car is - and based on Mays' choice of words, it probably will be - destined to only remain a concept with only the cues used on some lukewarm future production vehicle. That also doesn't bode well for the MKR. Based on other threads, Cadillac in particular, it looks like GM stole Ford's playbook and is actually pulling off the "Bold Moves". IMO, Ford should just stop with the "B M" ad campaign if nothing substantial is going to come out of it. Action! Need to see some real isht happen, instead of words without product to back it up.

Wish someone from Ford were on this site. If they saw how excited we were for these cars right up until Mays' speech, and how ****ed we are now, maybe something would change.

Ford Should...

Stop building Million Dollar plus Concepts and buck the whole system by showing cars that will see the light of day... How about showing up to
NAIAS and saying "This is the Interceptor, most of what you see here will be on the road in 2009 as the replacement for the Crown Victoria. See the IRS underneath? thats coming in the 2010 Mustang."
F all this Airstream Horse ****e. Show us what we can expect down the road. Say the Edge is coming in Hybrid along with the Fusion. Say there will
be a Fusion GT(SVT). BULLITT, MACH1, BOSS, LX SLEEPER MUSTANGS...
FOCUS GT Coupe, Lightnings, Fairlanes, Broncos, Cobras, .... Entice Us!

Show us the "Showroom of the Future" not the "Future Warehouse of Concepts".

I love Ford WITH A PASSION... I hate it when everyone writes them off...but show me somethin'.

Toyota has a line up about as thrilling as a coldsore...

GM went to Europe for the Best in their line up...and Australia is building their next Muscle Cars...

Mopar took all the joy out of hips by slapping them on all there cars...
Avenger, Charger, AHHHHH!

Honda has a new Accord Concept that looks like a bloated Scion...
but watch it win all the praises of magazines everywhere!

BMW .... Two letters. M3. But Ford can build a Mustang to blow that away.

Lexus...see Toyota.

Nissan....GTR or a Porsche 911 hmmm!

Acura...Renamed NO aCUREa

I COULD GO ON BUT I WON'T....Please feel free to vent or add...

In closing BUY A FORD...PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!

And while I'm on a rant...

We've only waited a coupla months since the BULLITT anouncement
Think of all the Nissan GTR fans that have to wait 2+ years of teasing...
and what's with Lexus and the LF-A...build it already...I liked the first rendition better...It looked like a new bar of soap...now it looks like a slightly used bar that I washed my a** with....
