Interceptor and MKR not for production....or are they?
Been intrigued by a few posts by Blue II and Igor over at BON, wherin they hint strongly that Mulally, Fields, or Vishnu has turned their might loose and put the "concept only" MKR, Interceptor, or both, on the production express lane and that we'll be hearling as much officially by the time Detroit rolls around. These would be based on a RWD platform developed and built right here in NA, which means either Huntsman will be no-US like Orion, or it will be a variant of this new platform.

I'm tired of waiting for full-size muscle car from Ford. If I don't hear anything new about Interceptor until summer, I'm buying either Marauder or Charger.

I would love to see a full size replacement for the Crown Vic, with an optional performance package to make it a full size muscle car. Maybe start with the 4.6 3V as a base engine. For the performance variant, hotter suspension, bigger wheels/tires, optional manual tranny. I'd like to see one of the new Boss engines in there too (if they ever get around to making the darn things) sitting around 400-425hp.

There's any easy fix: fit the base model with TwinForce and reserve the V8s for the lower volume high-end models. Mulally loves Twinforce, and if this happens I'm pretty certain we'll see TF in the cars.

300C and Charger don't have any problems with sales. V6 should be an option, but for those kinds of cars majority of buyers will go with V8.

Interesting thing is I tried finding 300C sales #s. Unlike Ford & GM, Crapster makes is very hard to find their sales #s. I could not find anything official beyond 2005. Found some 2006 sales # on chat sites that had 06 sales down from 05.
In any case Ford sells more Mustangs than Crapster sells 300Cs.

I shopped a 300C about a year ago. The dealers were overloaded with inventory and desparate to get rid of them.
Interesting thing is I tried finding 300C sales #s. Unlike Ford & GM, Crapster makes is very hard to find their sales #s. I could not find anything official beyond 2005. Found some 2006 sales # on chat sites that had 06 sales down from 05.

I don't really know why you're comparing Mustang with 300. Mustang is around $10,000 cheaper and plus it's only 2 door.

Even if the Marauder isn't as fast as the Charger, I would put money on the fact that it would cost you less to make your Marauder faster than a Charger than it would cost to buy a charger.

It never made any sense to me, and it shouldn't have made any sense to anybody else for that matter, to give a global rwd program to Australia. As for recent info indicating that GRWD will be designed here in America......amen.

As much as I criticize Ford, if this news is accurate and if they bring these cars to term...and if they are faithful to the concepts - or even nicer - and if they move their interiors up-market in both design and quality, then I will be equally quick to praise Ford.

So far this year, Chrysler sold around 100,000 300s. Not bad for $30,000+ car.

The bulk of 300 sales are the V6 model with starts at $24K MSRP with heavy discounts, rebates and subsidized leases available.

Buy the Marauder and Supercharge it with an Eaton or Twin Screw from Trilogy.
