Fusion Coupe
#4
i've always found it funny that ford doesn't really offer much in the way of coupes. there isn't even a coupe focus. i think a fusion coupe would be pretty darn cool. there's a two door G6 right?

I'm sure aftermarket ones will be available very soon after launch.

As far as a 2-Door Fusion, I'd rather see a 2-Door Milan and not a 2-Door Fusion (Maybe SVT-only) as a way to differentiate Mercury a bit.

This car would be cool as an SVT variant, but we know SVT has said they won't do anything that is 1/2 baked. If you take this thing, plop in the new Duratech 3.5L V-6 perhaps with 260hp, I think they'd sell quite a few. You could never support an entire plant with it by itself, but I'd bet you could get 80-100,000 out there a year.

Speaking of an SVT coupe, this photoshop of an SVT Fusion coupe was created by our very own Burningman:

Bah. 3L V6, twin turbo, manual 6-speed, AWD. Worked for Mitsubishi's 3000GT, and this would weigh much less. ^_^

Yeah the turbos might add a little more weight, but the power potential is greater! And burningman's coupe is so sweet..If only this car were rear drive
