Freestyle facelift

I just saw this. So the freestyle name will go down the drain, same with the old face. I think it looks alright. I like the interior, but is that a giant bar that just sits there in front of the passnger seat?

Hopefully ford will make some more money off of it with the improvments over the old one.

Well, if you take a peak in the "Other Fords" forum a couple spots down, you'll see you're a little late on this one. This was some of the big news at last week's Chicago Auto Show. But your link did give me a little smirk when I saw the add at the top of the page. Gives you a half assed side by side comparison i guess...

I just can't get enthused about the Taurus or Taurus-X. I almost never see Freestyles on the road, and the occasional 500 I see is always driven by senior citizens.

Personally, I think the name change will do little or nothing to boost sales, and I believe the sooner Ford replaces these vehicles with more stylish and competitive models, the better.

IMO, the facelift on the Freestyle/Taurus X is better then the facelift on the 500/Taurus. The only part of the styling of the Freestyle that I didn't like was the nose. Other than that, the styling was OK. From a performance standpoint, replacing the 3.0L/CVT combo with the 3.5L/6sp is a definite upgrade.

I'm not sure about the name change though....
