* Stunning concept truck is Ford’s first global debut in Thailand
* A versatile and practical vehicle in a tough, stylish package
BANGKOK, Thailand, November 24, 2005 – Ford Motor Company today forcefully drove home the importance of Asia, particularly Thailand, to its international plans by staging the world premiere of a stunning concept truck at the Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok.
Ford Asia Pacific Chief Designer Paul Gibson said the concept, dubbed 4-Trac, is a dynamic package that brings together Ford’s “tough truck” DNA with ideas that explore practical functionality, lifestyle and sporty uses for Ford trucks of the future.
“We have taken the typical pick-up truck and given it a lot more sophistication, style and purpose. It’s a workhorse that delivers on the ‘Built Ford Tough’ promise by offering true off-road capability, rugged features and durable aluminum surfaces. At the same time, owners will be proud to use it as stylish transport for their active families on weekends and holidays,” Mr Gibson said."
Wondering if anyone has any pictures of this truck??

I think its a sweet truck, looks like more of a truck than a sport track. closer to an F150 than to an explorer, maybe its got a longer bed or something. The ridgeline is fugly, i think this thing looks pretty sweet personally.

I agree. We need this truck in the USA. I read somewhere that new F250/F350 will be very similar.
meh, its alright. i kiiiiinnnnddaaa likes it. i also can sorta see the ridgline connection, but i can also see how someone could not see it.
i like the grille tho. give it some more hard edges in the front and i'd like it a bit better. i dont dig rounded off trucks
and the tonka?!
droolerific!!!

I like that concept! Some really neat ideas went into it!
As for the 2007 Superduties, yes they are supposed to take some design cues from the Tonka concept. When you look at it, it really wouldn't take much to make the Tonka design a reality

I wonder if this truck will be the next F150 or maybe the next SportTrac?
