Lower sales to rental companies accounted for half of the 13% decline. Sales to retail customers were down 8%. The bright spot is that Fusion/Milan/MKZ sales continue to grow and Edge/MKX sales are also up from last month. Also, the market share has remained steady at 13% since June 2006.

And inventories were lower. Which means unlike DCX the sales slide isn't hemorraging red ink.

Good to hear those numbers. Not the best news but by the media accounts it seems if Ford is going under by April.....

Media wants Ford to go under so they have stuff to talk about (business shoes, human interest shows about job loss, blustering politicians explaining how our manufacturing capability is now Chinese, etc.) Hopefully the impending doom of DCX will take some of the attention off Ford long enough for them to get back on track.
