An SVT Fusion, with an Ecoboost motor in the 340hp range, AWD and suitable suspension upgrades, could be brilliant and really could be a working man's Audi S4. Of course, there are a million ways Ford could goober it up too. Ford really has let the SVT performance branch wilt and now only rolls out the rare performance versions of their lineup.

Since the upcoming Euro-based cars will have Euro-developed performance version already, Ford/SVT could readily roll out rebadged versions of the Fiesta and Focus RSs.

Perhaps SVT could finally give the Stang a modern suspension coupled with a TT5.0 to finally make it a world-class working man's M3 than the muscle-bound paean to muscle car glory days of yore. Or maybe, for those of us who don't see performance constricted into a 30 by 1,320 box, an far more well rounded and overall capable Mustang RS by SVT as a stable mate to the unidimensional GT500?

that could probably steal more than a few Mustang sales.
