Although pretty much everybody reported that Chevrolet outsold Ford after 19 years - it look like they'll have to wait to become #1 USA automaker.

In the grand scheme of things, it's pretty silly for these two to be worrying about these bragging rights while the Asian manufacturers are kicking their butts.

FOCUS GUYS!! We need PRODUCT. Build good product and they will come.

I bet if you did some market research, you'd find the 99 out of 100 do NOT listen to "we're number 1" BS advertising.

You'd be surprised how such a bragging right can make a difference in one's opinion of a product. While you and I aren't so easily bamboozled by these claims and can make our own educated decisions a lot of people will look at a banner such as this as a selling point.

I'm not by any means saying that this is a bad thing at all, in fact I'm quite happy to see this. To me though safety is a key selling point. But hey, we're all different.
