Ford at NAIAS
I know it's little early.
Ford - Small B-Segment concept based on the Verve (see rendering below) shown in Frankfurt. Will be based on same platform with different styling that hints at brand's future design direction.

Well the good news is they haven't crapped on the Verve design. Personally, I think they could have skipped the multiple concept cars and just used the same one, the producition car is the one to be concerned with.
Any word on a brand-new Mustang? GM will likely debut the production version of the fifth-gen Camaro at NAIAS, and I would hope that Ford would be smart enough to show off the S197 replacement to steal some of their thunder...
Too soon for a Production car that's not going to be fielded until CY 09. Likely see a SE Mustang or two, perhaps a concept for the rebody. Besides which Ford's got to keep attention/coverage on the F-150, Verve, Flex, etc before they roll the new Pony out, lest those models get drowned out.

Depends on which engine your looking for. If your looking for the BOSS engines, not right away. The 4.6L V8 3V out of the GT's are going into the F-150 as standard (from Igor over at BON. Yes, he's VERY reliable), with the 5.4L getting bumped in power. The Boss motors won't be ready till (from what I heard) late 2008 or early 2009 calender year. Now, before anyone goes and trashed Ford for not being ready, think of this. The F150 will benefit GREATLY from the one thing it lacks more than "more hp" as some people say, and that is a 6-speed auto trans. Put this in the new truck, with the Mustang GT motor, and/or the updated 5.4L and the 150 will feel like a different vehicle. Don't believe me, drive a new Expedition and see what a 6-speed does to the current 5.4. Night and day compared to a 4-speed Expy!
