Fingers crossed we get this in America. Especially the 2-door.

Exactly as expected, but still a real head scratcher for me. I would think a 3 door Fiesta would move in sufficient numbers to make a good case for the U.S. market. I've heard the arguments against from Ford, I'm just not sure I buy into them.

I will be trading in my 2012 mustang for that car. My nephew will also be buying a matching fiesta.

I'm not sure about that, coupes usually sell in much smaller numbers compared to 4 doors.

Yup, and Ford agrees with you. But I wish they would have made and exception for this one...

Yeah, but limited 3-door numbers can still represent a profit, and that is really the question. My guess says that Ford expects potential 3-door Focus buyers to move over to the 5-door model they do offer since the 3-door version isn't available here. I'm just not sure that this is what actually happens.

My only problem with the Fiesta ST is probably gonna be the price. I mean, its most likely gonna be just as expensive as the Mustang V6 and there is no way in hell I would ever pay that much money for a Fiesta, even a 180 hp one.

I've worried about ST pricing for both the Fiesta and the Focus. In fact, I've wondered if the Fiesta may not get a bit more play on the lots than normal if the Focus ST price is in the stratosphere. That said, I agree Ford needs to be careful with pricing here. A Subaru WRX starts at 26k and change and that is a C segment car with standard all wheel drive. IMO there needs to be some serious breathing room between the Fiesta ST and the Subie for the Fiesta ST to make any sense. I'm thinking 21k and change or so to start is a good place (even with the Recaro seats) and then only if the Fiesta actually gets good fuel economy, something which the WRX really doesn't offer.

Considering that Fiat is actually asking $22,000 for a 500 Abarth ...
Nothing can surprise me anymore.

Wow, I hadn't heard that. As for the Fiat, it is definitely a pricey little sucker.

500 Abarth will be on sale over the summer and Fiesta ST won't be on sale until middle of next year.

I saw one at the auto show over the weekend and I liked it, but I don't see the point of back seats. I'm only 5'8 and after setting up the front seats in the comfortable position there is really no legs space in the back seats.

But it sure looks great ...
