Of course it'll get toned down for the production version, it'll lose those suicide doors, smaller rims, probably lose those lines on the sides... i think the overall look of the car is great though, it'll stand out and that's definitely what they need.

Fairlane for minivan/crossover?

It should have automatic sliding doors instead of suicide doors. Though I like the suicide doors. Auto sliding doors would be that much more appealing. I say keep the name as well.

This is cool because its different, and thats why Ford designed it that way. To stick out in the crowded minivan market. I read that they will keep regular doors on it, I just hope that they keep them suicide style. That would be a first for a big name manufacturer (the Rolls Royce Phantom excluded). Can't wait to see the pre-production spy shots soon.

I think Fairlane is a perfect name. Its the equivalent type of vehicle in terms of its people carrying role to the original car. A historical name like this will help to boost sales of the Fairlane. But its not such a storied name that it's gonna **** off too many fans of the original. Its not like they're slapping Thunderbird onto a Super Duty (although Thunder is a pretty appropriate word for a big *** truck...). I really think ford should stick with Fairlane. What other car could they use that name on?
