I saw ads for brand new 2007 Focus for around $8,500. That's really cheap.

My 2004 is worth more than 8500...but, eh, it has a 2.3, the $8500 ones are probly for sedans with 2.0ls

I bought a sedan with 2.0 manual trans, manual window locks and it cost me a lot more then that.

$8,500 is for base hatchback ZX3 with 2.0L engine.

If Ford's smart, they'll release the new world-car Focus and B-car simultaneously. This would allow them to move the price pointof the Focus higher while preserving the low end for the B-car.

The Focus may not falter, but this one sure doesn't flatter!

That side vent thing is totally lame on this one.

I don't think it looks all that bad. The least expensive 07 focus according to msn autos is around 12 and the most expensive is arount 17 or so.
