First Ford sedan I have REALLY liked . . . in a while
I was a my dealership yesterday and saw a 2008 Fusion SE Sport Package/5-Speed.
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.au...on_01a_opt.jpg Obviously I have seen the trim package on the internet but not in person. Sticker was $21,100.00. I loved the color combination. Interior was not the solid black/red combo on the seats, but a black/red plaid combination that looked very cool in my opinion. About the only things I could think of doing to it would be a set of Steeda lowering springs, Steeda strut tower brace, and Steeda kit to tighten up the 5-speed shifter. If I was in the market for a new sedan I would have purchased it on-the-spot. |
I don't like those rims.
But overall Fusion is a great car. |

I like the rims so much I am thinking about getting them for our Fusion.

I drive a V6 Fusion SEL with the sport group for my demo. LOVE THAT CAR!!! I'd put it against anything Japan makes, its that good IMHO! :nice:
|
Only thing I don't like about my Fusion is that engine is too loud.

You mean anything Japan makes in the same market segment, right?

I hate to say this, but I remember back in 2000 when I got my 1997 Dodge Intrepid. I liked that car a lot more than I like my Fusion. It was bigger, not as loud and a lot more powerful.
I should've bought a Taurus instead of Fusion. |
I too like the Fusion 5 speed manual. Is it still only offered with the base engine?
|
Yep, only with 2.3L I4.
|
too bad. Would be so much better with the V6 and a stick
|
^oh yeah
I do like the Fusion, I think it's a good looking car. |

Correct? I should have been a little more specific. :nice: I'd take my Fusion over a Camry or Accord anyday!!

To be honest Fusion is a great buy because in that price range it's impossible to get Camry and Accord. I got Fusion SE I4 with MSRP of $19,000 for "only" $15,500 and for that price it's impossible to get Camry and Accord (it's even impossible to get Corolla and Civic).
I drove new Camry and I hate to say it - but it's better car than Fusion. It's more quiet, more powerful and quality of interior is a lot better. |
i'd buy a used accord long before i would buy a fusion. if the mondeo would come across, we would talk.
this package really doesn't rub me the right way. |
I don't really trust Honda's automatic transmissions.
They had some serious issues in the past. |
