US Auto Makers Mull US Launches Of Mini, Subcompact Cars

Ford, still without a subcompact to challenge cars like the Aveo, Yaris, Honda Fit and Nissan Versa, plans to bring the subcompact Ford Fiesta to the U.S. in 2010, as a sedan and hatchback.
The auto maker said Thursday that, while it has no plans to bring its even smaller Ford Ka mini car to the U.S., it is monitoring the Smart.
"We have small cars on the shelf all around the world," Ford spokesman Jay Ward said. "If at some point we decide to bring (the Ka) over here, we would be in a position to do so."
Also the Indian Fiesta looks like a Mini Falcon!
