i love them aussie falcons

i've been thinking about it really hard.. and i've come to the following conclusion..

if i were faced with choosing between an XR6 TT Falcon Pursuite (UTE) and an 05 mustang GT.. i'd take the Ute

oh god i want a Ute... any one else here like the utes? i think i like those more so than the regular saloons.

of course most ppl today would look at a ute and give me the look, but like the IIs, i can see the exquisite beauty

rambling on? YES I AM

The GT and GTP look amazing.

They are listed as producing 290 killowatts, which is a lot of horsepower, but I can't remember the conversion rate from killowatts to horsepower. Anyone?

Arin..Jason (evil capri) had posted a while back about a ute racing leeague in AU..they called it Brutes.
Might be able to dig up a link using the search. I know he'd posted a link the official site or at least some cool pics.

[edit] found it V8 Brutes

I would love to get my hands on any one of Ford's FPV vehicles for a day.

Anybody see what the plaque on the engine of the GT-P says?

Boss 290! Very cool

Thanks Burningman. Glad to see someone remembers their metric conversions. 384 Ft Lbs of torque and 389 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 5.4 is impressive. Gotta give credit to the guys down in OZ.

Are the emissions restrictions far less down there or something? Otherwise, I don't see how the 5.4 is making that much more power there (in NA form) than it is here (in NA form). Or is it basically just a 2000 Cobra R engine (hence the price)?
