I've seen the 'standard' Ford GT wheels on a black S-197s, and they looked great.

It is! The Aussies get a rear wheel drive V-8 Taurus (Falcon) while we are stuck with the front wheel drive 3.5 liter (Volvo) Taurus over here...

Man that is one Awesome build..now imagine someone doing the exact same swap with a new Warpaint Falcon and a Ford GT motor.

I don't think it is. GM offers Holden Commodore as Pontiac G8 here in the USA and that car is a big failure.
