Any Ford Ranger people?
I had an 01 XLT 2wd extra cab. I loved it, but.... It had the early FFV 3.0... The **** thing knocked and pinged like an Aries K car on acceleration and hills.... Ended up out if work and gave it back. Made me miss the Eddie Bauer 94 Bronco 351, 10 mpg. At least it had plenty if power and didn't ping its *** off.
I used to be on rangerpowersports.com I think it was, and I was on fordtruckworld.com before that site turned to crap, but these days I'm only on here, S197, allfordmustangs.com, and some Dodge sites since I had a 2007 Charger until a few months ago ..
I had a 2004 Fx4 bought it new and had 3 wheel bearings go out on it and on the day of my college graduation the crankshaft broke open in 3 places going home from school and got it fixed that happened with 40K miles on it and then I traded it in for my mustang
Oh nice. At least if the Black is dirty on a truck, it doesn't matter so much because its a truck. Now Black on a Mustang is a true b****. Need to keep that thing spotless.
There's actually a blue ('03 I think) Ranger at a nearby dealership that I kinda wanna go check out ... 31-32" mud tires on it, a lift kit of some sort, supercab and flareside.
Not quite what I had before, but the thing looks cool and looks like it would easily accept some bigger/meatier tires ... hopefully it's a 4.0 5-speed ....

I was looking under the classified portion of the Ford Ranger Forum and a member posted a nice Ranger for a nice price. http://worcester.craigslist.org/ctd/3391257279.html
It's a blue 2002 Ranger Edge 4.0 auto, 93k on the odo, has a body lift, new BFG Mud-Terrain 33x10.50R15 tires, new stock-looking (puny tailpipe) exhaust.
Interior is cloth with the 60/40 split front seat and it's kinda rough, some stains on the seats.
The bed is kinda scratched up, especially inside very much so.
They want $6995 for it. It's at Steven's Auto in Derry NH.
The body-lift kinda killed it for me ... I've never liked them. I prefer a 4" Superlift lift if I'm ever gonna lift a Ranger, or simply what I did - cranking the torsion bars 1-1.5" for a level ride height front-to-rear.
That also allowed me to run 32" mud tires with minimal rubbing, only when the wheel was turned all the way and backing up. I had 265/75R16 Bridgestone Dueller M/T's on that thing and they were awesome in the snow ... not as good as the BFG All-Terrains that I had in the same size, but pretty **** good.

Stopped by there today.

If I ever get a Ranger again, I'd really like it to be a 2002-2003 FX4 Level II with the dual manual shifters (trans and t-case) ... that was a bad-*** looking set-up, and that's the truck I always wished mine was.
