I really don't see that happening, as its ALOT heavier compared to the current 5.4L S/C motor.

There have been rumors to this effect, but more recent info circulating of late has led me to believe these are inaccurate.

Does the Boss motor fit in a Mustang without compromising crash safety?

roush tested one in a mustang, there was pics of it months back. I'm sure it would be perfectly fine.

I'm a little confused on this motor as well. I keep hearing that it is a boat anchor, but several sites say that it is an all alluminum engine. How would this gain weight over the S/C Iron 5.4?
Or is this just mis-information and the engine isn't alluminum.
I still want the 5.0 instead, but I think this could make for a great Cobra engine with DOHC.

But was it an easy fit? The car they have is race only. Sure it will work for a race car, but a street car has to follow regulations.

Last I remember reading is that the production unit for the trucks is Iron,
its a 2v SOHC, big, heavy and thirsty.

If you want to go in a straight line, the potential is there....
but I'd sooner go with a spiced up 5.0 4v than this...

You REALLY want the 5.0 over this....trust me.

I don't see why they would make a new engine like that, Ford is smarter then to make a new engine thats thirstyer then their old truck 5.4 mod.

It has the advantage of being 2v, I don't see how it would weigh much more then a 4v 4.6.

and at 6.2L 400hp is barely touching its useable N/A power with 64hp/L

The 6.2 reminds me of a fat kid with man *****.

I'd rather get a jacked 4.6L or 5.0L. Bigger is only better in Texas these days.

If they don't keep the 3V design, I'll letterbomb them.

Good thing crude oil is down to $63 bbl.
Ford may actually be able to recoup ther investment on this thing.
