very cool!! I was brought home from the hospital after I was born in a falcon sprint convertible with a 289hipo. I guess that is where my love for Fords started and to this day still is as strong. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

The first Mustang in 1964 was based on the Falcon platform. Happy Birthday, Falcon! Wish we still had them in the US.

They're poles apart in styling, there's no way you can mistake one for the other.

Very ancient actually. The original design dates back to the 1960 Falcon but it has been redesigned like a grandfather's axe.

What is interesting too is how long the Falcon of Argentina had long run in it's original body style up to 1982 with only facelifts to make it look more like the modern Fords of the time.

whoa! i had no idea that car was around for so long. I think some places in South America were producing the Fairlane for about that long too though.

The old Falcon production was close to the old Beetle as one of the longest running original design vehicles. If I recall the Bug was produced 'till 2006!
