5.0L V8 Engine...

I'm new to cars but recently I seen a Mercury Grand Marquis selling for $450 on Craigslist. My main focus was the engine, I wanted to know could I possibly take that engine put of there, add/remove some parts and put it into either a foxbody Mustang or '99-'04. Or could I just sale it and even make more than $450? Just being creative and innovative

^^ that's what i was going to say lol unless hes talking about this
The 4.9 L (302 cu in) 5.0 Windsor V8 was the only engine available from model years 1983-1985, coupled with a four-speed AOD automatic. From 1986-1991 The Grand Marquis was also available with a 5.8 L (351 cu in) Windsor V8 but was a rare option according to ALLDATA

If its the old 5.0 I don't think you're gonna get much re-selling it unless you're prepared to rebuild it into something special first. A 5.0 Fox body shouldn't be all that expensive, even in Det it would probably cost less than a SN95 in good shape.
