3 Autoweek NAIAS vids
Interceptor
- Mays says people at Ford want Interceptor, but there's no concrete plan...yet. Also makes a valid point that part of 500's image problem was the 300C coming out at the same time, but we all knew that already
Car sounds amazing.
C-XF
- Callum basically says the DB9/Vantage/etc Aston design crew is now the Jag design crew, so it looks pretty good for Jag to move up-market with Aston gone
Airstream
- I think this is a heavily disguised escape replacement. Another site mentioned the Escape is likely to get short-termed just like the current Focus, in other words the re-skinned escape won't be around past 2010/11. So I'm thinking this is a hint at a less truckish Crossover Escape down the road.

Ok, based on some of Mays' answers to the interviewer's questions about the Interceptor's Mustang-based chassis, I gather that means the D2C isn't as "flexible" as some would've hoped. Plus, I got a kick out of hearing him describing the desire to build a RWD sedan with looks and attitude that people would not confuse as being Japanese or German. Umm yeah, there's already a car like that - it's called the 300C? Ever heard of it? Afraid someone at DCX noted the comment about the shaker hood and are now already at work to incorporate it into an updated version of the Magnum/Charger. Let's see if Ford has REALLY learned anything after dropping the ball with the 427. Arrgh! Build it already! How "hungry" does Ford have to be? If it's gonna go down, go down in a blaze of glory and tire smoke instead of a whimper!
And yes, it does sound that da*n good!
