2013 Focus RS

I'd like to see Ford going 4 wheel-drive for their top end performance cars (well, I'd prefer RWD, but 4WD is better than FWD IMHO).
Having said that, I'm looking forward to this rendition of the RS Focus as the current one doesn't quite do it for me in the looks department

Would prefer they stick with the I5 for a bit more character and differentiation from the masses of buzzing four bangers, but awesome nonetheless.
Now, will it ever see it's way to this side of the pond. I think not, but given Global Ford's new emphasis on global products, I would write off that possibility. An RS 5-door would make a compelling ride for a car buff saddled with family-hauling responsibilities and a one-car budget.

Unfortunately, I think the T5 is dead. With the One Ford program, and the success of the EcoBoost program, they'll use it like they did with the SHO and add another vehicle to their fleet that shows performance can also have good fuel economy.
It'll be interesting to see how that RevoKnuckle front suspension handles our "lovely" roads with all that power. Ford needs to get into the ring with the GTI, Mazdaspeed3, and the upcoming Veloster Turbo. The RS and ST are perfect.

I was looking into a new mazda speed3. My nephew and I drove it and both agreeded it was tq steering mess of a car. Good bang for the buck but that doesnt fix the whole "tree" thing.

A friend of mine had a '99 Sabb 9-3 Viggen. That car could take you from the fast lane to the off ramp if you took your hands off the wheel and shifted. It was downright SCARY to shift if you weren't used to it.

I own a 1991 Honda civic si with a b18c type r motor that puts 522 whp out, an it has TQ steer at well over 100 mph on full (20 psi) boost, at 10 psi it still has a lot of TQ steer and that's at 360whp

Ford Focus RS Will Have Up to 380 HP, Debut in Two Years
new report from Auto Express suggests that the RS is still on track and could pack 380 hp into a new coupe body. The report suggests that the new Focus RS will squeeze as much as 380 hp out of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. That would make the new Focus RS more powerful than the prior-generation’s 350-hp Focus RS500. Power will go only to the front wheels, necessitating Ford’s RevoKnuckle suspension design and torque-vectoring traction control to help the Focus RS transmit all its power to the road. AE believes the Focus RS will accomplish the 0-to-60-mph sprint in as little as 5.5 seconds. The Focus RS500 hit 62 mph in 5.6 seconds, according to Ford’s numbers.
The Focus RS would, like the Focus ST, most likely be offered as a five-door hatchback. Ford is reportedly considering a two-door coupe model, but a three-door hatch design is unlikely. AE says that the Focus RS is “at least” two years away from launch.
A spokesman from Ford’s SVT group in the U.S. previously wouldn’t confirm or deny whether a Focus RS was in the cards. He told us the company was working hard on launching the Focus ST, and noted that Ford’s RS models are “a real special occasion.” For now, we’d probably be satisfied with the ST alone — Ford hasn’t offered a hotted-up Focus in the states since production of the SVT Focus ended in 2004.
