Hopefully a bit of Kinetic styling influence. The current Taurus/SHO, while not bad, is a bit of a jumble and a little awkward and bulky from some angles. 400 hp is always a good thing.
Now if they'd only stick this drive train in the Fusion, then Ford would really have a killer sedan and true spiritual successor to the beloved Gen 1/1.5 SHO, not to mention something that would trounce an Audi S4 / BMW 335ix.

More efficient packaging and weight loss will come with the next all-new Taurus from what the insiders are saying. But a mid-cycle enhancement won't change the car that dramatically.

Personally, I am not a fan of big sedans, but I did like Mobsteel's take on the SHO:

12.4 seconds in the quarter with a 4300-lb sedan is pretty impressive.

Weight reduction needed before any thing else. FWIW, spotted a local LEO in a black SHO used for police duty. AFAIK, it is not a Ford PI version, simply a civilian model/personal car fitted with a light bar, strobes, siren, laptop, and radio gear.

found this over on the SHOforum
Just saw complete 2012. Our prayers have been answered, Honeycomb grille(upper and lower), better brakes, any mytouch. I asked the engineer that was hovering around it about the brakes, he said they have been "revised". Whatever that means. No additional power as of now. But anything and everything could change between now and build date. FYI, the grille is perfect and a SHO exclusive! No pics guys, job security.

I got it as my daily driver last week. I'm retiring the Raptor to construction and hauling use.
She's red candy with all the options except the performance pack and Nav. It was a leftover 2010 new on the lot. They had it for 13 months and were very motivated to move it. It was a win/win for me. It does have the performance pack wheels which I love.

What are your plans?
My goal is to a buy a used Taurus SHO in the next few years since I can't afford a new one. I'm leaving the country on May 1st and should be back later this year and, depending on gas prices, might actually look at SHO then.
