I'll look at it when it comes out, but the lack of a manual trans pretty much kills it for me. At least the Mazda5 can be had with a manual, too bad the redesign went downhill in the looks department. This would be a nice vehicle for our family of four.

Yes. Europe gets them, why not US? I have a stick in our current family hauler, a Subaru Forester XT, its one of the main reasons I bought it. All four of our cars are manuals, I've owned several autos in the past, but generally despise them (even the new ones that offer better mpg and acceleration than a traditional manual).
