Once upon a time Lincoln only built RWD full-size cars with V8s. And they were #1 luxury cars sellers.
And then they decided to compete with Germans. They killed RWD, they killed V8, they killed famous names and started whole MK nonsense plus Mazda's and Volvo's platforms... and right now they're one of worst sellers in their class.

My mother's car of choice was a Lincoln Town car. She had a 1979. A 1986. and then a 1995. She drove the last one till 2003 when she finally got a Expedition to haul more grandkids.
I drove the last two cars quite a bit. Kind of like driving a boat. You would turn the steering wheel and at some point in the near future the car would also begin to turn. But they were roomy, comfortable, and had a 302 or 281 and of course RWD. I went on alot of dates in that car. Prom, etc. You could lay down in the back seat.
Lots of good times.

That thing was the boat, but it was so **** comfortable.
The interior is superb. And the exterior isn't that bad. The Lincoln nose works much better on the MKS than this though. Doesn't quite translate as successfully. And around back, I definitely prefer the full-width taillights of the current model. HATE the goofy MKZ-style rear bumper. Forget the 2010 'Stang. THIS, my friends, is a "full diaper."
Interior is alright... No Manual shift option still... and can't handle the front end... side and rear are alright... Glad I own a 2009. Wonder if the 2011 will get better than 13MPG in real world driving.
