2011 Fusion Sport FWD

Hi gang,
I must say I am loving my new 2011 Fusion Sport FWD. Coming from my 02GT with goodies, it is certainly a much nicer DD. It is pretty darn quick for a 3.5L auto as well. It corners pretty decent and I love all the Sync system. All in all its a pretty cool car, and surprisingly it shows just how good the 02GT's are with fuel mileage. Stock I was getting around 25 MPG with the Stang and about 22 or so with 4.10s and other mods. Driving modestly I am getting around 24 with the Fusion (based on the computer, which I know is not accurate).
I was wondering if there are any other Sport owners here, and what their thoughts are of their Fusions.

I have a fully loaded '10 sport. Very comfortable car and decent handling like you mentioned. Navigation system is top notch. The 3.5 isnt bad but I would trade it in a heartbeat for a 3.7 sport if Ford decides to drop one in there.

Hi Ramairgt1 Yes, I agree. The 3.7L would have been a perfect upgrade, but the 3.5L (new for 2010 I believe) is to new for them to spend the money swapping over. I would not doubt you might see it in the next body style (2012 rumored, based off the Mondeo, again rumors)...Do you have the AWD or the FWD? I specifically chose the FWD for the better mileage, lower vehicle mass, tire life, and my perceived performance (straight line). Even with the 263 HP in a straight line I can feel the front end wanting to lose traction and torque steering its way into 2nd gear (breaking the tires loose on the shift)....It is a very fun 4 door car to drive for sure.

Mine has FWD which I chose for the same reasons as you. Plus where I live I'd only need AWD maybe 10 days max out of the year (that's what my jeep GC is for)

Very nice I like the blue, I went with a ingot silver/charcoal black combo. I think the black chrome grille on the 2011 looks good with the silver.
I see you have what looks like an ipod cable hanging out. How well does the sync system work with it? I currently have an 8GB OCZ thumbdrive in my USB that I leave in 24/7 and it works awesome! I love being able to hit the sync button and say play song and it plays it almost instantly. I set shuffle on and I have so many songs on the thumbdrive I haven't heard the same song twice yet

Thats actually the cord to my cell phone charger.
I do have an ipod touch and a 4GB thumb drive I use for my music. I do notice that my ipod touch connects alot slower than my old ipod mini, havent figured out why but its not really that big of a deal.
