2011 Explorer?
Found this on Jalopnik.com
http://jalopnik.com/5074977/the-car+...e-and-personal Umm.....don't really know what to say. Coolish kind of? Still not looking forward to a Explorer CUV, but I know its the right move to make. |
interesting, yeah explorere cuv does suck. thats why they have the escape for that...
Explorer is supposed to be a truck!!! looks like it could be built on the mazda cx7 platform... but i could be complelty off on that. |
Explorer should remain SUV. Even with crappy sales Explorer still outsells both Flex and Taurus X. Ford does not need another crossover.
I really liked Explorer America concept, I would like to see it in production. http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/...er-America.jpg |
This is a Mule, odds are the final product will not look much if at all like this. Mules use an existing car's body to cover/disguise the platform and running gear while they're being tested in the real world.
This is what chevy's Volt Mule looked like: http://cache.jalopnik.com/assets/res...lex-Tester.jpg And Here's the Flex Mule: http://66.160.188.111/.ee92af5/cmd.2...osure..ee92af6 |
I like it!
|
so its a freestyle/taurus-x with a flex front clip?...boring....same interior too...except for the mustang style sterring wheel

It was made on a unibody platform, not a B-O-F platform. The concept IS a crossover, to be specific, but doesn't look like one. :nice: |
I think all doors on all cars should be sliding doors....think of it....the end of door dings!

And that is what its gonna look like, for the most part. At least, thats what Ford said. The sliding door won't be there, but the overall look is what they are striving for.

Mehhh, forget the Explorer, the only SUV that I want to see is a new Bronco.

But not off an escape platform, something orginal and full sized! An SVT Bronco derived similar to the Raptor. |
the explorer shouldnt be a car, really the vehicle that started the SUV craze
especially not if it's just a restyled freestyle |
