I understand about brand identity and how a grill can be instant recognition of a brand, but some times this simply doesn't work. Case in point. This isn't the only Lincoln model this style grill doesn't work on either.

Grill looks better when viewed with the entire vehicle, in my opinion. http://m.autoblog.com/2014/01/23/201...usaolp00000588

Ugh. Why wouldn't they release this on the new f150 chassis? Even if it delayed is a year I think it would of been worth it.
And the front just stares at me. Looks wayyyy too much like a face.

I don't hate it, but I don't like it. The front looks much better than the outgoing, cheese-grater inspired model. The rear, on the other hand, is disappointing. When you step back and realize this is just a mid cycle refresh, not a major overhaul, it's not bad. The whole point was to get the design language across the brand to be more cohesive (something I've argued should have been done following the Wolff acquisition and rebirth). The full width tail is very Durango-ish, but the reasons are purely Lincoln. If this boosts sales another 2-3 years, then good. Hopefully the next iteration of the Navi won't be as cut & paste as this.

The refresh is appreciated but as far as I'm concerned is about 2-3 years past due. They should be putting it on the 2015 F150 chassis for 2016. Otherwise I do still like it but it's gonna be hellaspensive as it already is. Ecoboost has been around since late 2011 model F150 too I believe. Lincoln is just late late late with this refresh.
