Yet another problem...
Yet another problem...
As some of you may recall about 2 months ago, I had a bit of a fiasco with my engine pinging a lot. The dealer couldn't eliminate it, but they managed to drastically reduce it (for the time being). You guys proved to be a huge help for me then so I have yet another set of questions that I'm hoping somebody here could help me with.
On Monday the temperature where I live plunged to 20 and below for the first time this winter and has remained there all week long. During the course of that first day a strange noise developed and has remained all week. When I'm stopped, my car will idle just under 1000 rpm's, and then as I being to accelerate a vibration sound will occur, sounding like it is coming from the dashboard area, and will occur while my foot is on the gas until it reaches 1000 rpm's, and it will stop there and I won't encounter it at any other range.
At first I thought it was just a dash rattle, but after it started happening everytime and I was able to reproduce it, I knew something was wrong. The vibration isn't at all violent, it's very calm and of course the faster I accelerate the quicker I go through it and might not even notice it.
Could it be from the cold weather? Is it the engine or transmission? Any ideas on what it is or solutions? Is it something that I should be very concerned with? As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

My guess is that its from the cold. Here in philly, its been in the single digits when i leave in the morning, and my car definitely runs poorly when i first start even if i give it some time to warm up. Because mine is a stick, its difficult to shift because the fluid in the trans is so cold and thick, but it also has a slight shudder or vibration when i begin to accelerate in first gear. If the vibration goes away in a few minutes when the engine warms up, that's probably all the problem is.
