I would be concerned about structural integrity over the long run, but I like the looks and it is a good middle ground for the people that want the coupe looks and the open air of the vert.

I dont know why but something just looks wrong about that. I like the idea but somehow I'm just not convinced. Quite sure we'll be seeing them around with full body kits and undercar lighting, going for the civic look. Not for me, dont think I'll be ordering anytime soon.

It's fibregalss too so that doesn't help it. If it were more structurely sound, I'd get it. Ford would need to build it into the mustangs when they are originally built at factory.

It reminds me of a Miata. Don't care for it.

I like hte idea, but the c-pillar area is too large in my opinion to pull the look off right, especially from a side on shot like that.

Me neither. It just reminds me of a T-top.

The one for the 05+ models looks much more secure, just mustangtuning.com doesn't sell it.

Edson, you don't like T-Tops? If a mustang was built with them, or even a removable roof panel, you wouldn't get it?

You are going to need a lot more than just full length subframe connectors! You couldn't pay me to ride in a car with that installed...it is going to fold up like a taco in an accident even with frame connectors!

You will need at the very LEAST something like the Kenny Brown Extreme Matrix setup in addition to full length connectors and I still would not be 100% confident in it.

A slightly better design might be cutting out the inner roof panel, but still leaving the roof's frame rails as support. Basically it would look like a very wide lift-off sunroof, but the structural integrity would be more intact. I still wouldnt do it, but it would be a bit safer.

The problem is that in a fastback, a T-top does not look good. But Iguess if I had no choice. I'd have to buy it.

I don't mean a fastback, those are not made to be 'spiffy', they are made to be faster, hence the name. I'm talking about a coupe. Instead of them making it into a vert, they could just make t-tops or a removable roof panel. I wouldn't do it on a fastback even if it were free and they'd pay for the rest of my mods... well, maybe I would... I would just spend the money I saved to get it back to a normal fastback.

Anyway, on a coupe, I'd get it if it were more secure. IMO, it looks sexy.
